Circular economy, climate change, and environmental protection. These are the three components on which the collaboration agreement signed between Sogesid S.p.A., the “in-house providing” engineering company of MASE and MIT, and Luiss Guido Carli University is based.
It is a strategic partnership aimed at addressing the most urgent challenges facing our country. In line with extraordinary public investment programs, including the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), Sogesid and Luiss are joining forces to develop innovative cooperation in support of the reconstruction of areas affected by the flooding events of May 2023 in the Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, and Marche regions.
University students from various courses, master’s programs, and doctoral programs will be involved in mapping and monitoring initiatives carried out in the territories related to the transition towards a circular economy. From sustainability and socio-economic impact assessments of specific public investments to the development of an application to ensure interoperability and monitoring of the PNRR, Sogesid will offer internships to train young individuals in the management of activities within its scope, such as the remediation of polluted sites, safeguarding water resources, combating hydrogeological instability, and soil conservation.
